We’re always looking for writers, researchers and storytellers who can illuminate the threads that connect personal experience to larger systems. If you have an idea that will challenge our readers and deepen the conversation, we want to hear from you.

Before sending us a pitch, take some time to explore our site to understand our themes and style.

We publish essays, reported features, interviews and guides that sit at the intersection of science, ritual, culture and emotional life. Your piece doesn’t need to redefine our fields, but it should offer a fresh perspective and be grounded in research or lived experience. We encourage pitches from clinicians, artists, community organisers, scholars and anyone who has a story to tell.

Writing that

Our editorial process is collaborative. If we accept your pitch, you will work closely with an editor to shape the piece. We publish pieces between 800 and 2 000 words and pay writers competitively. Whether we accept your idea or not, we are grateful that you considered sharing your voice with our community. Send your pitch to hello@wholenessly.com . If your article is accepted, expect a response within 14 days. 

You may submit a rough draft, a partial draft or a short pitch (a paragraph or two summarising your argument and why it matters to our readers) paired with an outline; the more complete your submission, the better feedback we can give. Please don’t send press releases or sales pitches; they make us sad.

  • Makes a clear argument or asks a compelling question. Is supported by evidence or experiential insight rather than opinion alone.
  • Uses a warm, reflective voice and invites the reader into dialogue.
  • Respects the dignity of individuals and communities.
  • Offers practical takeaways or frameworks when appropriate.
